Pinedo Consulting Group (“PCG”, “we”, “us”) provides bilingual bookkeeping, payroll, tax and advisory services to construction firms and small businesses in Austin, San Antonio and Houston, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, and how we handle it.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form on this site, we receive the information you type into it: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and your message. We use it only to respond to you and, if you become a client, to provide the services you ask for.
Once you engage us, you will also share records needed to do the work — bank and credit card statements, invoices, payroll details, tax documents and similar materials. We treat those as confidential client records.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard technical information that your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This site does not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.
The site stores one item in your browser: your language preference (English or Spanish), so the site opens in the language you last chose. It is not a tracking cookie, it never leaves your device, and you can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and prepare proposals.
- To deliver bookkeeping, payroll, tax and advisory services under an engagement with you.
- To make filings and submissions on your behalf where you have authorized us to do so.
- To meet our own legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share information with
We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it:
- Service providers who help us operate — our website host and form provider, and the accounting, payroll and tax software we use to serve clients. They may process information only on our instructions.
- Government agencies, where a filing you have authorized requires it, or where we are compelled by law, subpoena or court order.
- Others you direct us to, such as your bank, attorney, insurer or lender, with your instruction.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages for as long as they are useful for following up, and client records for as long as we provide services to you plus the period required by tax and professional record-keeping rules — generally at least seven years. After that, records are securely destroyed.
Security
We use access-controlled accounts and reputable, industry-standard software to store client records, and we limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive documents, account numbers or Social Security numbers through the website contact form — ask us and we will provide a secure channel.
Your choices
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to retain. Write to info@pinedoconsulting.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you asked us a question and no longer want us to hold your message, tell us and we will delete it.
Children
This site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here.
